Hello and welcome to the Epsom Training and Development Fund new website.

The ETDF is a registered charity based in Surrey whose aim is to improve the welfare and conditions for the valuable racing staff in Epsom. During the year the Charity organizes a number of fund raising ventures which offer various sponsorship and advertising opportunities, generating funds for the charity whilst enabling companies to raise their profile in the local community and beyond.

The date for the 2009 Open Day is Sunday 2nd August. Please put this date in your diary and come back shortly to this site to check out the exciting attractions that will be there!

The 2009 Epsom Owners and Trainers Awards Dinner is 21st November 2009 at Epsom Downs Racecourse but, in a change to previous years, will be taking place in one of the purpose built function rooms in the beautiful new Grandstand. This is unveiled at the Spring Meeting on 22nd April 2009 and looks to be a very exciting venue.

The Epsom Training & Development Fund is most grateful to again be chosen as a beneficiary of the fabulous RAC Derby Ball.

The RAC Derby Ball is held at Woodcote Park, Epsom on the evening before The Oaks Meeting and is an annual fundraising event that opens the doors to racehorse owners and trainers along with TV chefs. The date of this year's event is 4th June.

Celebrity chefs Michel Roux OBE, Brian Turner, CBE, Anton Edelmann, John Williams MBE (The Ritz) and the Royal Automobile Club’s own executive chef, Philip Corrick will cook a magnificent 4-course gourmet dinner. Channel 4’s racing presenter, Mike Cattermole, will share his top tips.

The evening comprises a champagne reception, a gourmet dinner with each of the four courses cooked by one of the above chefs and served with accompanying wines, Derby racing tips by Mike Cattermole and an auction, before a live band takes to the stage, with dancing late into the night.

Now in its third year, this highly successful event has gained a reputation not only for the exceptional food and wines, but the unusual array of auction items.
